The purpose of the International Joint Conference on Computer Vision and Computer Graphics Theory and Applications is to bring together researchers and practitioners, including research scientists, engineers and practitioners on the areas of computer vision and computer graphics, interested in both theoretical advances and applications in these fields. Computer Vision and Computer Graphics are knowledge areas that are becoming more and more interrelated, with important interdisciplinary work often being the result of an iterative combined process of image analysis and synthesis with models created in one of the fields being used to improve models created in the other. The VISIGRAPP component conferences are specialized in the following topics: - GRAPP is structured along four main tracks, covering different aspects related to Computer Graphics, from Modelling to Rendering, including Animation and Interactive Environments. - VISAPP has also four main tracks, namely: Image Formation and Processing, Image Analysis, Image Understanding and Motion, Tracking and Stereo Vision.

Tasmeem Doha is an international design conference hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. For five years we have gathered scholars and practitioners in the fields of graphic, interior and fashion design to discuss current issues in design while engaging with our students and community members The theme of this year’s conference is Design at the crossroads: the intersection of change and the future. When you reach a juncture, you pause, consider the possibilities and then proceed. In our unique position as an international design conference hosted by an American university in the Middle East, we have many intersections to contemplate. In Qatar and the Arabian Gulf, Bedouin traditions merge with modernity and East and West converge in multicultural cities. Design ideology is also in transition to a twenty-first-century ethos. In this rapidly changing environment, it is essential to consider all paths before forging ahead. One component of the conference is the Student Project. The Student Project is an opportunity to involve students from all over the world in the conference and the issuess it addresses. The top five entries will receive travel and accomodation to attend Tasmeem and the preconference student/speaker workshop.
