Information for Authors
Paper Submission
INTETAIN 2008 accepts three types of paper submissions:
Full Papers (from 6-10 pages)
Late Breaking Results (up to 4 pages)
Demos (up to 4 pages)
All submissions must follow the ACM two-column conference style format including figures and references. Links to templates will be available from the conference website. Authors are requested to submit their PDF manuscripts electronically by following the instructions at the conference home page: http://www.intetain.org. Supporting videos can also be submitted.
All paper submissions must be anonymous. We have adopted a relaxed model of anonymity that does not attempt to conceal all traces of identity from the body of the paper. Authors are expected to remove author and institutional identities from the title and header areas of the paper, as noted in the submission instructions. Further suppression of identity in the body of the paper is left to the authors' discretion. In particular, we expect authors to leave the citations to their previous work unanonymized, so that reviewers can ensure that all previous research has been taken into account.
Authors are requested to submit their PDF manuscripts electronically, using the COCUS System ( http://www.cocus.info ) :
1. Login to COCUS with your e-mail address and password. You will need to create an account if you do not have one.
2. After login, choose "Event List" and find INTETAIN 2008 in the list.
3. Choose "Submit a paper" and follow the step-by-step instructions.
Workshop Proposals
Proposals are solicited for Workshops as part of the events associated with INTETAIN 2008. In addition to the interest areas listed above, workshops may address other topics in entertainment technology and applications. Please see the Call for Workshop Proposals for more information.
Publication
Submissions should describe original research that has not been previously published or accepted for publication, and is not under consideration for publication at another conference or journal. Accepted full papers will be published in the proceedings and presented during the paper sessions. Accepted late-breaking results papers and demo descriptions will be printed in a companion document available only at the conference, and presented during a poster session (late-breaking results) and demo session (demos).

Parallel and Distributed Processing has undergone impressive change over
recent years. New architectures and applications have rapidly become the
central focus of the discipline. These changes are often a result of
cross-fertilisation of parallel and distributed technologies with other
rapidly evolving technologies such as telecommunications and multimedia.
It is of paramount importance to review and assess these new developments
in comparison with recent research achievements in the well-established
areas of parallel and distributed computing, from industry and the
scientific community. The Sixteenth Euromicro International Conference on
Parallel, Distributed and network-based Processing aims at providing a
forum for the presentation of these and other issues through original
research presentations and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and
new ideas at the highest technical level. Topics of interest include,
but are not restricted to:
· Network-based Computing: web computing, cluster computing, mobile
agents, distributed web services, security in distributed systems.
· Parallel Computer Systems: massively parallel machines, high
performance
networks, network-on-chip systems, embedded parallel and distributed
systems, fault-tolerance, memory organization, parallel I/O.
· Models and Tools for Parallel Programming Environments: performance
prediction and analysis, simulation, knowledge-based parallel program
development, visualization tools.
· Advanced Applications: computations over irregular domains,
combinatorial optimization, multi models and multi disciplinary
applications, numerical applications with multi-level parallelism, real
time distributed applications, distributed business applications.
· Languages, Compilers and Runtime Support Systems: task and data
parallel
languages, functional and logic languages, object-oriented languages,
dependability issues, scheduling and load balancing, task and object
migration, emerging languages, compilers for multicore architecture and
for emerging architecture, virtualization for HPC,
measurement and monitoring.
· Global computing: grid computing, P2P computing, desktop grids,
computational grids, data grids, semantic grids, grids middleware, data
consistency in P2P.

Proceedings will be published by IEEE CS. Best papers will be selected
for a special issue of Journal of Systems Architecture.
Authors of accepted papers are expected to register and present the
paper at the Conference.
A special session devoted to work in progress will
be also organized. Selected papers will not be published in the
Conference Proceedings but will appear in a separate document.
