The Marketing Tool Kit is experiencing tremendous amounts of innovation today. The boom in direct and database marketing, the dawning of electronic commerce, new ways to automate sales force management, and the sudden blossoming of the World Wide Web all suggest that the discipline is under pressure to reshape(John Deighton).
Business discountinuities like deregulation, globalization, technological convergence, and the rapid evolution of the Internet have blurred the roles that companies play with their customers and redefined the way value is created and delivered. C.K.Prahalad in his landmark article “Co opting customer competence” demonstrated the need to regard the customer as co producers and competitors in value creation and extraction. Technology is affecting marketing by enhancing speed, customization, and individuation. The internet has enabled customer interactivity, low cost product and service delivery and experiential customer marketing. Future technological advances like the web 2.0, consumer electronic devices like the handheld PCs, cell phones, and media platforms have the potential to disrupt the current value-chains and enable new ways of creating and delivering value.

CollECTeR 2007 - 10th Anniversary
Collaborative Electronic Commerce Technology and Research
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Call for Papers
The 2007 CollECTeR Conference on Electronic Commerce in Australia will be held from December 9-11, at the Langham Hotel in Melbourne, in association with:
the 5th International Supply Chain Management and I.S. Conference (SCMIS)
the 2007 Australian Conference for KM and Intelligent Decision Support (ACKMIDS)
The 2007 CollECTeR Conference is designed to be an interactive experience – an expert discussant will be assigned to each paper who will be asked firstly to respond directly to the paper, then to facilitate broad-ranging and extensive discussion. In the workshop spirit, ample time will be made available to allow for a full exploration of the ideas contained within – and the implications of – each paper and, where appropriate, for discussion on methodological issues arising from the research. As a consequence, research supervisors may feel that this workshop is a particularly useful venue for papers arising from doctoral/post-graduate research projects.
The Programme Committee actively seeks papers describing novel, radical and, indeed, controversial ideas – papers may describe either competed research or work in progress. Researchers are encouraged to submit either “work in progress” papers (around 3,000 words), or full papers on completed research (around 5,000 words). Papers should be original and not previously published. All papers will be double-blind-reviewed by two members of the Programme Committee, experienced researchers with extensive expertise in the area.
Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings which will be available, in CD-ROM format, at the Conference itself; and from the CollECTeR web site. Additional copies of the Proceedings on CD-ROM will also be available for purchase. Authors will be required to transfer a non-exclusive right to publish the paper within the conference proceedings (in CD-ROM, WWW and paper formats) but this does not preclude the authors from later publication of the paper elsewhere.
The highlighted topic area for CollECTeR 2007 is “E-Enterprise Integration” and suggested topics for papers include (but are not restricted to):
Integrating E-Business into the organisation
Effective E-Government Service Delivery
Mobile applications for the Real World
E-CRM
Value creation for the E-Enterprise
Integrating RFID into the Business
Security and Privacy in the E-Enterprise
Integrated Electronic Markets
Using Electronic Documents to enable the E-Enterprise
and other topics relevant to the workshop theme ...
Additional Information Important Dates
14th September – Paper Submission Closes
5th October – Notification of Paper Acceptance
2nd November – Author’s registration & revised paper submission
