On behalf of the National Mediation Conference committee, we would like to invite you to join us for the 9th biennial conference to be held in Perth, Western Australia in 2008. The conference is widely acknowledged as the leading Australian gathering of mediation practitioners, researchers and trainers. Delegates from industry, the community sector and government, will join eminent Australian and international mediation professionals to continue the development of mediation and related processes in Australia and beyond. We have received an enthusiastic and positive response from speakers within Australia and from international speakers of the calibre of Professors, Giuseppe de Paolo, Michelle le Baron, Julie Macfarlane and Dr Frank Handy. The theme for the 2008 conference is “Transforming the Landscape”, providing opportunities for presentations on a wide range of topics one of which is accreditation of mediators. In our bulletins to follow, we will provide more detailed information about the program, the call for papers, accommodation options and social activities.
